UPDATE: Bomb Threat Cleared Near AmeriGas

Tahlequah’s police say the scene were explosives components were found has been cleared.

Around 11:45 a.m., witnesses saw a man drop a bag at AmeriGas propane near Willis Road and Highway 62.

The highway and several businesses have reopened after being force to close as a safety precaution.

Police officials say that they have a suspect, but no one has been arrested at this time. Several agencies responded to the bomb threat.

The Tahlequah Public Schools superintendent says buses are running normally. A couple of buses have been rerouted to avoid closed highways.
