ATF doesn't know what started Little Rock church fire

Posted: Updated:

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) - Federal investigators said Wednesday they don't know what started the fire at a Little Rock church - and don't think they'll ever know.

Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) investigators said the first at First Baptist Church at Highland Park burned so hot and was followed by days of rain on top of gallons and gallons of water used by firefighters to put the fire out, it is impossible to find the cause.

The church doesn't have an exact answer to what started last Sunday's blaze but Rev. W. W. Walker said it doesn't matter.

"I know all things work together for good for those love the Lord," said Rev. Walker. "I just make sure that I'm showing love to the Lord."

The church does plan to rebuild.
