LITTLE ROCK (KATV) - A 21-year-old was shot and killed Tuesday night when he tried to break up a fight.
Kelshawn Mouton was found dead on Black Jack Court just after 11:00 p.m. Witnesses told police three of them, including Mouton, were driving on Stagecoach Road when the driver noticed Donavan Whittington, also known as "Don Don," was following them. The driver identified Whittington as her ex-boyfriend and said she wanted to avoid him because he had been harassing her for $100 she owed him.
She turned the car and ended up on the cul-de-sac at the end of Black Jack Court, where Whittington reportedly blocked them in. Both Whittington and the witness got out of the car and started arguing. Mouton got out of the witnesses car and tried to defend her so Whittington reportedly shot him. He died at the scene.
Whittington was not at the scene when police arrived and they are still looking for him. Anyone with information on where he may be is asked to call police.
