Mike Conley ate up the Oklahoma City Thunder Tuesday night in game two of the Western Conference Semifinals. He scored 26 points as the Grizzlies beat OKC 99-93 to tie up the series at one game a piece.
The Memphis win over shadowed an amazing performance from Kevin Durant. KD finished with 36-points, 11-rebounds and nine assists. In game one Durant hit a big time jumper to give the Thunder a one point lead late to help Oklahoma City to the victory, but he missed his last three shots of game two.
The Grizzlies out rebounded the Thunder 43 to 35. Memphis got several second chances with 16 offensive rebounds and Oklahoma City turned the ball over 16-times.
It was another hard fought, back and forth contest. There were 27 lead changes and 12 ties.
Derek Fisher had a big second quarter where he racked up 13-points. He finished with 19 for the game. Kevin Martin had an off game shooting 3-8 from the field for 10-points. Serge Ibaka also in double figures scoring with 11.
Memphis' Marc Gasol added 24 points. The Grizzlies had four players in double figures. Zack Randolph had 15 and former Oklahoma State star Tony Allen ended up with 12. Allen had a dunk late in the game that angered the Thunder crowd.
The series moves to Memphis with game 3 on Saturday. Tip-off is set for 4:00pm on ESPN.
