Countdown to the Debate: What do You Want to Hear from the Candidates?

Posted: Updated:

The Tulsa League of Women’s Voter Mayoral Forum is just days away. You can attend the forum at 6 p.m on Wednesday at the Perkins Auditorium at the OU-Tulsa Schusterman Learning Center.

What do you want to hear from the candidates?

Likely topics will include tax revenues, investments in infrastructure and funding for public safety programs.

In what could be a preview of the main topic of the debate, the Tulsa World asked the candidates How would you foster sales tax growth? What are other sources of revenue that the city should try to obtain?

The question is likely to be a central focus of the debate, after Mayor Dewey Bartlett revealed his budget proposal that included a 3 percent cut to city departments because of a decline in sales tax revenue.

What other topics to do you expect to come up in the debate?

Remember you can watch the debate live on KTUL.com and 8.3 (cable Channel 131).

The debate will air again on Channel 8 at 2 p.m. on May 11.
