Little Rock bank robbed at gunpoint for the second time in two weeks

Posted: Updated:

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) - A bank on Chester Street was robbed Thursday afternoon - the second time the same branch was robbed in as many weeks.

Police were called to Bank of the Ozarks just after 3:45 p.m. Bank employees said a black man around 6'00" tall walked in, showed a hand gun and demanded money. They weren't sure how old he was because his face was covered as you can see in the surveillance photo.

The suspect ran away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

There were no customers in the bank at the time but there were three employees.

Police confirmed this was the second robbery at the same location in just two weeks but would not confirm if there was a connection between the two incidents. Sgt. Cassandra Davis said detectives would review surveillance video to see if the suspects were the same in both cases.

The bank is located just one block away from the police station.
