A Tulsa couple is behind bars accused of child abuse.

19-year-old Heidi Benjamin and her live-in boyfriend 24-year-old Scott Bolden were arrested Wednesday after paramedics were called out to their home, 6911 E. Marshall Pl., to treat the woman's 18-month-old daughter.

The toddler was found unconscious.

Police were notified after paramedics discovered bruises on her chest, stomach and both legs, as well as, a head injury.

Neither could explain how she got those injuries. The girl's mother said they did not call for help until the child was unresponsive and they couldn't revive her.

Doctors say the injuries could not be caused by normal childhood activities and were intentionally inflicted by an adult.

Both are being held on $100,000 bond.
