Toad procurement tonight for Toad Suck Daze

Report to the Tucker Creek Walking Trail at Salem Road around 8 p.m. Tuesday night to be part of the annual toad procurement for Toad Suck Daze.

In an effort to gather a "knot," or a collection of toads, festival chair Mary Margaret Satterfield has asked festival fans to meet for the hunt.

Some years have proved a challenge, and toads don't like the cold.
