Tulsa Prosecutor Dismisses Death Penalty in Best Buy Shooting

Posted: Updated:

A Tulsa prosecutor told the courtroom Thursday morning that he won't seek the death penalty against two men charged in the fatal shooting of two people at an electronics store.

Tulsa County District Attorney Tim Harris made the announcement Thursday during a hearing for Jeremy Foster and Willie Wise. The men are charged in the July 14 shootings at a Best Buy that killed Graydon Wesley Brown and Scott Dewayne Norman.

According to court records, both will appear back in court next week for their district court arraignment.

Brown, who went by the nickname Wes, was shopping with his 10-year-old daughter inside the store when he was struck by gunfire from outside. Prosecutors allege that Norman, who was outside the store, was the target.
