A home security camera helps catch a man wanted for several thefts and burglaries in Tulsa.
Police arrested and booked Joseph Shelton, 23, early Thursday morning on numerous criminal complaints.
According to arrest documents, police said Shelton broke into a car near 14800 east Admiral around 11:30 Wednesday. He took an expensive guitar, cash and car keys, the report states.
Police got a good description of him and his car thanks to security cameras mounted on the front of the house. Video and photos showed him driving a car with white tape across the back windshield.
An officer spotted Shelton's car with its distinct description near 161st and Admiral. Police found items from the earlier alleged crime. In his wallet were found dozens of credit cards, identification and checks in the names of others.
The items all check to open theft cases in Tulsa, records show.
Officers also spotted scales and a powdery substance inside the car.
Joseph Shelton is being held in the Tulsa county jail on complaints that include: stolen property, burglary, driving under suspended license and drug possession.
