Man's Body Discovered While Helping Sick Baby

Jenks, Oklahoma -

Jenks Police responded to a call of a sick or injured baby and discovered the body of a man in the home, Wednesday, April 24.

The initial call received was about a baby who "...won't open its eyes..." according to Jenks police. After locating the 18-month-old baby, the body of 48-year-old Ray A. Lykins was discovered.

The baby was transported to St. Francis Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with unknown injuries. The child is in fairly serious condition, according to Jenks Police.

Jenks Police called in the assistance of Tulsa Police Department's Child Crisis Unit and are conducting interviews.

There is no information on the cause of death at this time.
