Homeowner catches burglar in the act

A Benton homeowner caught a burglar in the act.

The victim heard Kenneth Allison, 23, coming through his garage in Legacy Village Subdivision April 18, according to the Benton Police Department.

According to the victim, he heard a noise coming from his garage and then noticed a suspect was crawling under the door.

The victim allegedly chased Allison to another homeowner's yard and held him until police could arrive.

Allison was found to be in possession of prescription narcotics without a prescription and stolen property at the time of his arrest.

Allison is charged with residential burglary, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and theft of property.
