SALINE COUNTY (KATV) - The man who led Homeland Security investigators on a chase through Arkansas turned himself in to authorities Friday morning.

Dennis Hunter reportedly ran away from deputies Monday when they tried to talk to him as he was re-fueling his plane at the Saline County Regional Airport. According to a deputy's incident report, Hunter took off from the taxiway before he even made it to the runway and nearly hit a deputy in the process.

Investigators figured out how he was by tracing the credit card he used to pay for the airport fuel. They still have not said why they were looking for him in the first place, though.

Hunter left jail on a $150,000 bond around 1:00 Friday afternoon.
