Local Call Center Bringing New Jobs to Tulsa Area

Posted: Updated:

A Green Country call center is adding a hundred jobs.

Sitel in Bartlesville announced Thursday that with the addition of a new cable company they need more customer service call takers.

Sitel Site Director Paul Petersen says the employees are not telemarketers. For this company, they will be taking calls from customers asking questions about their bills, available services and other questions.

Right now Sitel has 300 employees and beginning pay starts at 8 dollars.

"The opportunity is across seven days a week, early in the morning to late in the evening, people that are looking for full time jobs, part time jobs, supplemental  jobs," says Petersen.

There are several local call centers that are hiring new people. Petersen says there are three reasons why companies are looking to put their call center jobs here.

"First and for most it's the people we have great people skills, second, we are very flexible cause we are in a time zone that allows us to take calls form both coasts and we are very accessible. With the Tulsa International Airport having an increase in flights, they can get here to check in on us then in the past," says Petersen.

The job fair at Sitel will be finished at 7 p.m., but people interested can apply online at sitel.com.
