Posted: Updated:

MAYFLOWER - City officials reported Thursday that residents' drinking water supply was not impacted by the March 29 oil spill.

Raymond Arnold, City of Mayflower water superintendent, confirmed that the city's drinking water is safe and that the city will continue to work with Community Water System to monitor the water supply.

Community Water System supplies Mayflower's water, which is sourced from Greer's Ferry Lake, located about 65 miles northeast of the town.
