Posted: Updated:

Board members of Central Arkansas Water system will celebrate the recent acquisition of the Winrock Grass Farms, and officially thank the U.S. Forest Service for a grant that made the purchase possible.  CAW will host a tour of the property and ceremony on Wednesday at 11 a.m.

The 915 acre farm is adjacent to Lake Maumelle, and will serve as an added watershed area to the lake which supplies Little Rock and other central Arkansas Cities with water.

The $4 million dollar U. S. Forest Service grant was secured in 2012.
