New Movie To Begin Filming In Oklahoma

Posted: Updated:

Several famous actors and actresses will be in Oklahoma filming a new movie.

"Rudderless" will star Billy Crudup ("Almost Famous"), Anton Yelchin ("Star Trek"), Selena Gomez ("Wizards of Waverly Place"), Laurence Fishburne ("The Matrix") and Felicity Huffman ("Desperate Housewives").

The movie is William H. Macy's director debut.  The Oscar-nominated actor starred in Fargo.

"We're very happy to have 'Rudderless' going it no production soon here in Oklahoma," says Jill Simpson, director of the Oklahoma Film & Music office.

"Since we started our prep here, people have been more than accommodating.  They've been downright generous," says William H. Macy.

"Rudderless" is a musical drama about the power of a parent's love.

Filming will start later this month in Guthrie and in Oklahoma City.

The film was written and set here in the state.
