Arkansas redshirt junior forward Marshawn Powell announced Tuesday on his Twitter page that he had decided to enter the 2013 NBA Draft. Powell still has one year of eligibility and can still withdraw before the June 17th deadline, as long as he has not hired an agent.
Powell was the second leading scorer for the 2012-13 Razorbacks, averaging 14.5 points per game, and leading the team in rebounds with 5.3 rebounds per game, all this coming off of a torn ACL in his Junior year. Powell started his career being named to the All-SEC Freshman team, and finished being named Second Team All-SEC.
Powell finishes his Razorback career 22nd on the all-time scoring list with 1,270 points and also pulled down 519 rebounds.
According to various scouting services, Powell has an outside chance of being drafted.
