Store Manager Heads to Work, Discovers Missing Equipment

Posted: Updated:

A Bixby lawn care business was the scene of a burglary early Tuesday morning after an employee walked in and noticed several items missing.

It happened around 6 a.m. when General Manager Darrin DeShazer walked into the Yard Sheriff warehouse and noticed the back doors were open and things were out of place. Upon further investigation he came to the conclusion the business had been broken into and several items had been stolen during a burglary.

According to a release, some of the items missing at the store after the robbery included:

   - laptops

   - riding mowers

   - trimmers and weed eaters

   - Ford F-250 truck and trailer

DeShazer told KTUL.com that he reported the burglary to Bixby Police and told the officers about the incident. He said he remembered the truck had a GPS locator that they used to track the vehicle south of Broken Arrow where it was dumped.

The trailer with the equipment was found abandoned in a remote area of Bixby.

According to the release, officers were able to recover the stolen goods and are now looking for the suspects involved.

No other information about the suspects was available at this time.
