(KATV, Source: ASL) Little Rock - The Natural State Jackpot (NSJ) turns seven months old Wednesday, but the celebration will start early with a record-high $240,000 jackpot on Tuesday.

The Arkansas-only jackpot game helps fund scholarships while producing regular big winners. Since the first NSJ ticket was sold on August 27, 2012, Arkansas players have won eight jackpots of $100,000, $120,000, $50,000, $35,000, $95,000, $80,000, $210,000, and $155,000. In total, Arkansas players have won more than $2 Million in prizes on this one game.

"The players of Arkansas told us they wanted a jackpot draw game designed just for them, and the enthusiasm for the Natural State Jackpot has remained high since the first day of play. We may see a big winner tonight," said Lottery Director Bishop Woosley. The prize grows $5,000 a day and is just waiting for a lucky Natural State player to choose the five numbers that will match those chosen in the 8 p.m. drawing in Little Rock.

If you want to get in on the game each day, buy a $1 Jackpot ticket before 7 p.m. Tickets purchased after 7 p.m. or on Sunday will apply to the next day's drawing.

Monday night alone, 5,040 players won prizes between $1 and $300. The tickets are available at any of the 1800+ ASL retailers.

To play, just pick five numbers between 1 and 39, or ask for a Quick Pick and let the computer choose the numbers for you. If you want to play daily without repeated trips to the store, ask your retailer for extended-play NSJ tickets for up to 20 draws.

The Natural State Jackpot is sold exclusively in Arkansas, with a 1 in 9 chance of winning a prize. The drawings are $1 and happen at 8 p.m. every night except Sunday.
