State Police are investigating three fatal traffic accidents that happened across Arkansas Saturday.

In Washington County just after noon, a Chevy Tahoe ran off the west side of the roadway and hit an embankment, then a culvert and overturned. It happened near Parker Branch Road, south of Osborn.  The driver, Phillip Hutchinson, 29, was ejected from the vehicle and killed.

In Craighead County on East Nettleton Avenue, 38-year-old Robert Stafford of Jonesboro was driving an Oldsmobile westbound. State police say he was driving too fast, left the roadway and struck two parked vehicles. That accident happened at 8:10 Saturday night.

In Sebastian County a 24-year-old Fort Smith man was killed while trying to cross Interstate 540. State Police say Joshua Winkler walked across northbound traffic just before 1:00 a.m. Saturday morning. Police say Winkler crossed a temporary concrete barrier dividing the north traffic from the south. He tried to cross southbound traffic and was hit by two vehicles.
