Want to be in the movies?

Posted: Updated:

If you want to be a star, or just an extra in an upcoming film project being shot in Arkansas, you need to be at McCain Mall on March 29th and 30th.  Casting directors for a new movie about the life of Razorback football player Brandon Burlsworth will be looking for talent.

Arkansas writers and filmmakers Brian Reindl and David Hunt are bringing Burlsworth's story to the big screen in a film titled "Greater".

Burlsworth, who is widely considered one of the best walk-ons in college football history was killed in a car wreck in 1999 after returning from a football practice.  He has just been drafted into the NFL by the Indianapolis Colts.

Filmmakers Reindl and Hunt say the new movie will look at Burlsworth's life and death through the eyes of the people who knew him, and who continue to struggle with the tragedy.  The film will be shot in Northwest Arkansas and Little Rock.

Interviews will be held in the mall, on the first floor in the former RadioShack space from Noon until 6 p.m. both Friday and Saturday.
