Woman, 20, found dead in Hot Springs apartment

HOT SPRINGS (AP) - Police are investigating after a 20-year-old woman was found dead in a Hot Springs apartment.

Police say they're investigating Katie Marie Lavender's death as a homicide - but they haven't released how she died. The Sentinel-Record reports that Lavender graduated from Caddo Hills High School and had attended Henderson State University in Arkadelphia.

Police found Lavender's body at about 7 p.m. Tuesday in an apartment in the 600 block of Higdon Ferry Road.

No one has been arrested, and police have not released any information about a possible motive.
