Children's book drive at Park Plaza Mall

Posted: Updated:

LITTLE ROCK - Throughout the month of March, Park Plaza Mall is asking the community to donate new children's books.

The book drive kicked off in early March when the malls participated in "Read Across America," an annual reading motivation and awareness program sponsored by the National Education Association.

Book donation bins are located throughout the mall and shoppers can donate books at select stores for free goodies from mall retailers.

To encourage reading all month long, children up to age 12 can read their way to a free treat. Kids can pick up bookmarks with rewards for reading at Customer Service and select retailers. Once a child reads four books, they can redeem the bookmark for a free kids meal from Chick-fil-A.

Click here for more information about the program on the mall's website.
