An Arizona woman was arrested earlier this week at the airport after police found seven pounds of meth in the lining of her suitcase.

Tania Elizalde was taken into custody by officers Monday afternoon at Tulsa International Airport on charges of aggravated trafficking of methamphetamine.

According to the release from Tulsa Police, officers received information from San Diego Drug Enforcement Agents that Elizalde was flying into Tulsa and possibly had drugs in her luggage.

Officers responded to the airport and a canine alerted them to the contents in her bag. The officers approached Elizalde who gave them permission to look inside her suitcase.

During a search of her suitcase TPD discovered approximately seven pounds of crystal meth in the lining, according to the booking report. They were able to confirm the contents through field testing.

Elizalde is now being held on $25,000 bond.
