While planting season may be a few weeks away in most parts of the U.S., CHS President and CEO Carl Casale says "there are plenty of reasons for those in agriculture to be optimistic about the year ahead."

Casale shared his thoughts recently as a guest web blogger as National Ag Day celebrates its 40th anniversary on March 19. Despite the drought, he wrote, “I’m convinced there are five good reasons to forecast bright long-term prospects for U.S. agriculture.”
