Homeowner Scares Off Intruder With Gunshot

Posted: Updated:

A Tulsa resident fires a gun at the man who broke into his home early Wednesday.

Police got the call about 1:30a.m. from near Pine and north Yukon Avenue.

Investigators said the home's burglar alarm went off, but the suspect wasn't deterred. He got into the house through a back door.

The alarm woke the homeowner who got up to check on his children. He found the suspect rummaging through drawers.

The homeowner grabbed a gun, fired a round and the suspect escaped.

Police don't think the intruder was hit, and he is still on the run. Call 918-596-COPS if you have any information about the suspect.
