16-year-old boy accused in Pine Bluff shooting

Posted: Updated:

PINE BLUFF, Ark. (AP) - Authorities say a 16-year-old boy is in custody in connection with a fatal shooting in Pine Bluff.

Lt. Denise Richardson says 22-year-old William Roby Jr. was shot to death Sunday. Richardson says that Roby was friends with the 16-year-old and that the shooting happened after an argument.

The 16-year-old is being held at a juvenile detention center in Pine Bluff. His name wasn't released because of his age.

Authorities say the teen was accompanied by his parents when he turned himself in to police on Monday.

Richardson says police have not yet recovered the weapon used in the killing.
