Plane From Tulsa Crashes Into Houses In Indiana

Posted: Updated:

An airplane that took off from Tulsa has crashed in Indiana.

The Federal Aviation Administration says the plane crashed this afternoon at 3:15 p.m. CST a few miles from the runway in South Bend, IN.

The plane took off from Robert Richard Lloyd Jones, Jr. Airport Sunday afternoon.

The plane hit houses as it crashed.  The FAA reports two people on the ground may have been killed.

At this point, the FAA says four people were on board the plane.  Two are dead and two others are injured.

The plane is registered to a company in Montana.  We have learned the plane could have been chartered by a local glass company, but they are not answering any of our questions at this time.

The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the details.
