10-year-old arrested for school bomb threat

GREENWOOD, Ark. (AP) - Police in Greenwood say a 10-year-old boy has been arrested for making a bomb threat against an elementary school.

Police Chief Will Dawson told the Times Record that the boy was arrested Friday and is being held on $2,500 bond at the Sebastian County Juvenile Detention Center for threatening to blow up Westwood Elementary School.

Dawson says the child was upset after being disciplined and said that he would bring a bomb to school.

Dawson says he saw little alternative but to arrest the boy and that his goal is to see that the child gets help.
