Little Rock Police searching for wounded robbery suspect

Update: Alvin Aikens, 21, has been charged with aggravated robbery, attempted robbery and fleeing. The money has not been recovered.

The victims say they have been robbed by Aikens before.

 

Thursday, March 14:

Little Rock Police are searching a shooting victim who is a suspect in a robbery.

Officers say someone tried to rob the Mexican grocery store Santa Maria at 4531 Baseline Road, but ended up exchanging gun fire with the store owner. Police are searching for the suspect in the Baseline and Stanton Road area.

"We got reports that an individual matching the description of our suspect here is going door to door asking an ambulance, saying that he's been shot over on Stanton Road," said Lt. Dana Jackson.

Officers found clothing they believe is connected to the suspect and a K9 is working to follow the trail.
