(KATV) Usually when we hear the term post traumatic stress disorder, we think of veterans who've fought in wars.

Now new research shows some breast cancer patients may develop PTSD. Researchers studied more than 1,100 women. They found that 23-percent of newly diagnosed breast cancer patients experience some symptoms of PTSD like anxiety and trouble sleeping.

Younger women, African-American and Asian women were most likely to develop the disorder.
