Sen Pryor plans to send packages to troops

Senator Mark Pryor's office is planning to send car packages to Arkansas Troops stationed in Afghanistan, and he's asking Arkansans to be a part of the gift.

If you're interested you can download a postcard from his website, write a message and send it to the Senator's office in Washington.

Right now there are 167 Arkansas soldiers serving with the1039th Engineer Company and the 39th Brigade Special Troops Battalion in Afghanistan.

The care packages will be sent March 22 and will include a DVD Video message from Senator Pryor, cards from Arkansans, and bags of Juanita's Candy Kitchen Peanut Brittle of Arkadelphia.

(AP) - Arkansas State Police say three men have died in a single-vehicle crash.Jonesboro television station KAIT reports (http://bit.ly/1zkMwzC ) the crash happened early Sunday morning on State Highway 38 west of Cotton Plant.Police say the vehicle went off the road and struck a concrete culvert.     A prayer vigil was held Sunday for the missing Greenwood father and son. 33-year-old Brian Floyd and 10-month-old have been missing since Friday, July 25. Police are still looking for Floyd's dark green 1997 GMC pick up truck which they believe was last seen in the Ouacita mountains area south of Blue mountain.More >>
