Suggestions For A Safe Spring Break

Posted: Updated:

Arvest Bank is offering suggestions to keep your Spring Break or other vacation on track.

First, let your bank know you will be traveling. This will make sure your card will not be flagged for possible fraud. This is especially critical when you are leaving the country or traveling to multiple cities.

Also, make copies of the front and back of your debit and credit cards, keeping the copies in a safe place. If the card gets stolen, you still have the numbers and information from the card.

Keep all receipts and match them up with your bank statement. Let the bank know if you spot anything suspicious.

There are a couple things you can do to prevent over-spending. First, make a budget before you leave. Second, put money on a prepaid card, especially if your children are going on vacation without you.

Lastly, don't leave a wallet or purse unattended, even at places like a water park. Thieves often target vacationers.
