HOT SPRINGS (KATV) - Police captured a suspect who had been on the run Thursday evening.

Officers had to deploy gas to take Derrick Estelle into custody but they said no one was hurt.

Estelle allegedly stole a car and wrecked at Columbia Hills and Central then ran away from the crash. The original wreck caused several more accidents but no major injuries were reported.

Investigators said they had several warrants out for Estelle before Thursday's chase. Garland County deputies and Arkansas State Police helped in the search.

Central Avenue had to be shut down during the manhunt but was re-opened once Estelle was caught.
