Off-Duty Tulsa Officer Helps Man Out of Wrecked SUV

A Tulsa police officer helps a man out of his crumpled vehicle overnight

The crash happened early Wednesday near 68th and Riverside Drive.

Police said the man was heading north on Riverside, when his car veered the shoulder. He over-corrected, the SUV flipped to its side and it slid for several feet down the pavement.

It flipped back to its wheels once hitting the median.

An officer ending her shift was first on the scene. She helped the man out through the back window.

The man wasn't seriously hurt and should recover. His was the only car involved and there's no word on what caused the crash.
