McMurtry tickets going on sale in Little Rock

Posted:

LITTLE ROCK (AP) - Tickets are going on sale for a reading and reception by authors Larry McMurtry and Diana Ossana.

The May 2 event is a fundraiser for the Arkansas Literary Festival. Tickets go on sale Wednesday and are $75 each. They're available at all Central Arkansas Library System branches and through the festival's website.

While many festival events are held in downtown Little Rock, the McMurtry and Ossana reading will be at the Circle B Ranch. The western setting is to set the mood as McMurtry is known for his novels set in the West, such as "Lonesome Dove."

McMurtry and Ossana are to give a free reading on May 3 at Christ Episcopal Church in downtown Little Rock. Reservations are required.
