
PINE BLUFF (AP) - Tevin Hammond made a 3-pointer after Jackson State was assessed a late technical foul, and Arkansas-Pine Bluff beat the Tigers 73-72 Monday night.
Regulation time had expired, but a second was put back on the clock after the technical against Jackson State's bench.
Lazabian Jackson scored 23 points, including two free throws with 5 seconds left, to lead the Golden Lions (15-14, 14-3 SWAC), who finished their home schedule with a 9-0 record.
Terrell Kennedy had 16 points and eight rebounds, Hammond had 11 points and eight assists and Davon Haynes had 10 points and eight rebounds for Pine Bluff.
Kelsey Howard led Jackson State (8-17, 7-9) with 23 points. Christian Williams had 21 points and Willie Readus added 14. The Tigers saw their 3-game winning streak end.
