Some people in Owasso are starting out this chilly Saturday morning with a duct tape run. If you're in the mood to watch The Odyssey of the Mind Duct Tape Dash 5k and Fun Run, it just kicked off around 9 a.m. at Stone Canyon Elementary School.
The Cherokee Nation Marshals are waking up to a frigid plunge into the Illinois River. The annual "Polar Plunge" benefits the Oklahoma Special Olympics. Registration starts at 10 a.m. and the plunge is at 11 a.m. While you could just jump in wherever, the Cherokee Nation Marshals will be at the Arrowhead-Thunderbird Resort, north of Tahlequah.
J.M. Davis Arms and Historical Museum are hosting the Annual Daisy BB Gun Day in Claremore. Children through the age of 18 may participate for free, but if mom and dad want to take a shot, there is a $3 charge. Winners will receive a custom-made Daisy BB rifle. The competition begins at 10 a.m. and continues through 4 p.m.
The 2nd day of the Bassmaster Classics began this morning at Grand Lake. If you didn't feel like freezing out on the lake with the anglers, the weigh-in is at the BOK Center later this afternoon. The Bass Bash Festival round two will start at 6:30 p.m. with live music and local food trucks. You can find the following at the festival:
