Free Bass Bash: Live Music

Posted: Updated:

Outside the BOK Center several local bands are taking the stage to entertain. It's called the Bass Bash Festival, featuring live music and local food truck vendors. It's the place to go to get out of the cooler weather.

"We were trying to find a place to eat and freezing to death and we needed come find a place to warm up," says Jason Delong.

Delong brought his family out to enjoy all the free events.

"It's wonderful that it's free. I think it makes a difference in people wanting to come downtown. You don't have to pay to get in, that makes it fun," Delong says.

Organizers were hoping to draw on the free factor and making an event that was for all ages.

"We figured there would be a ton of out of towner here anyway but we really want to reach the locals and the people that live here in town and try and get them down here to take part of this because this is a huge event for Tulsa. This kind of lays the ground work for other events that wether we can host it or we can handle the masses," says Justin Orcutt, Co-Owner Okie Tone Records.

The Bass Bash Festival is on Third Street between Frisco and Denver connecting the Tulsa Convention Center and the BOK Center.

8:30 p.m. Fiddlebacks

9:30 p.m. The Electric Rag Band
