New Southglenn Restaurant Opening on February 27 Marks Cafe Rio's Fourth Colorado Location

CENTENNIAL, Colo., Feb. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Cafe Rio Mexican Grill is expanding in the Colorado market. On Wednesday, February 27, the smell of fresh-made tortillas will fill the air during the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 6907 University Boulevard in Southglenn, CO (the heart of Centennial).

This opening marks the Company's fourth restaurant in Colorado and 59th overall. As is customary with each Grand Opening, Cafe Rio will make a charitable contribution of $2,500 to the Littleton Public Schools Foundation. During 2012, Cafe Rio donated more than $75,000 to public schools and other charities in conjunction with Cafe Rio restaurant grand openings.

Guests, residents and media are invited to attend the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on opening day at 10:30 a.m. Note: Cafe Rio Mexican Grill is offering all media members with proper media credentials a free meal all day on February 27th at the new location in Southglenn.

"We thoroughly believe in being a part of our local community and are grateful that our other Colorado locations have been so well received," stated Ben Craner, Cafe Rio's Chief Marketing Officer. "We could not be more thrilled to share our made-from-scratch meals with the people of Southglenn."

Cafe Rio has a strict 'no microwaves/no freezers' policy. Employees start the day early, hand-squeezing over 1,000 limes, hand-scooping fresh avocados and making award-winning recipes from scratch. Every tortilla is handmade to order for each customer. Cafe Rio's made-from-scratch meals have won over 60 national awards. The Company, which has 59 locations across ten states, was voted number one restaurant in the nation for two straight years by Sandelman and Associates (the restaurant equivalent of winning an Oscar).
