Head-on collision leaves one man dead

HOT SPRINGS (KATV) -

HOT SPRINGS (KATV) - A man was killed in a head-on collision Friday night. 

According to the Hot Springs Police Department, 28-year old Jerry Cloud was driving West on the 1900 block of Lakeshore Drive when his car crossed the center line and collided with a vehicle heading in the other direction. 

Police say Cloud was unresponsive when they arrived and the Garland County Coroner pronounced him dead on the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle, Jesse Bolden Junior, was transported to a local hospital where he is listed in stable condition. 

The accident is still under investigation.

    Saline County celebrated the return of its“Lost Seal” by installing a historical civil war marker. The county hasn't had the seal since 1863 but it is now back in the counties possession. In 1996 Gary Smith of Pine Bluff discovered the seal with his metal detector in Grant County.More >>
