Tulsa Police Identify Body Found in Arkansas River

Posted: Updated:

Tulsa Police identified a body found in the Arkansas River near the 71st Street bridge earlier this week.

TPD's Leland Ashley told KTUL.com that an initial investigation determined the body belongs to 31-year-old Randall Martin Swain.

Channel 8 crews were at the scene Monday afternoon when a group of men were on the river and called police.

Officers say the body has possibly been there for a couple hours. There were no footsteps around the body, so police do not think it was dumped.

TPD have now handed over the investigation to the state medical examiner who will determine the official cause of death.
