State Police have updated us on this accident. They tell Channel 7 that the eastbound lanes on Interstate 30 were re-opened just before six o'clock Friday. They were shutdown just west of Malvern at the 91 mile marker.
Authorities say William Almond, of Hot Springs, was driving a large pick-up truck and pulling a trailer loaded with construction equipment. He stopped on the shoulder of the interstate and was merging into eastbound traffic when a tractor trailer hit the back end of Almonds trailer. Almond's truck was pushed along the guardrail of an overpass and the off the road where his truck fell approximately 40-feet into an embankment below the bridge. Almond was airlifted to a Little Rock hospital. His conditions hasn't been released.

(KATV) - An accident has clogged up traffic around the 91 mile marker on Interstate 30 for hours.
Arkansas State Police were called to the eastbound side of I-30 between Malvern and Social Hill Friday afternoon. KATV Facebook fans reported being stuck in traffic for more than two hours.
No word how long it will take to clear up.
