Weather Service team to survey storm damage

Posted: Updated:

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The National Weather Service is planning to send a team to survey damage in southern portions of Arkansas.

Meteorologist John Robinson says the team will leave about 7:30 a.m. Friday for Jefferson County. The team also plans to visit an area near Sheridan, then head to the Bunn area in Dallas County and plans to visit the Tull area in Grant County and Sardis in Saline County.

The surveys come after strong storms crossed Arkansas earlier this week with strong winds, hail and possible small tornadoes.
