LITTLE ROCK (KATV) - KATV received several comments on our Facebook page about not receiving a phone call from Ned Perme through our Weather Call service during Tuesday's severe weather event.
In most cases, emergency alert sirens cannot be turned on for only part of the county or city where you live so everyone hears them even if the storm may not necessarily be headed directly for their home. Weather Call only activates when your registered location is inside a mapped warning area specified by the National Weather Service.

We hope you never actually need to get a call through this system but please have an emergency plan in place just in case you do.
