Road work to shut down portions of Ark. roads

Posted: Updated:

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department says road work and sign installations will mean some lane closures on a state highway and an interstate.

The department says crews will be doing maintenance work on an Interstate 40 bridge at the Remington Road exit in Lonoke County that will lead to the closing of the inside lane of eastbound I-40 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Friday.

The department also says crews will be installing an overhead sing on State Highway 70 in Hot Springs on Thursday night and Friday morning that will mean the occasional closing of eastbound lanes of Highway 70 near the Spring Street and Highway 70-B exit.
