Pedestrian dies after being hit by a vehicle in Cabot

CABOT (KATV) -

A woman is dead after being struck by a car Saturday night.

Cabot police say around 10:15 a vehicle was headed South on Kerr Station Road near Candlewood Circle when it hit a woman walking in the same direction.

Emergency responders took the victim to a Jacksonville hospital where she was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
