The Stuttgart Police Department almost went up in flames earlier this week after an inmate reportedly set fire to a mattress in a holding cell.
Police said Jevon Stigger, 33, was being held in a cell Wednesday.
Officers had arrested him on suspicion of second degree criminal mischief and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
Police said Stigger apparently found a pair of pants inside the holding cell and that those pants had a book of matches in them.
Stigger was moved to the Arkansas County Jail and authorities said additional charges are likely.
