UPDATE: Four dead after LR-owned plane crashes in Monroe, La.

MONROE, La. - Four people were killed Thursday afternoon after a small plane owned by a Little Rock company crashed in Monroe, Louisiana.

The Shreveport Times reports four passengers, three from northwestern Louisiana, were in a Beechcraft Bonanza that crashed near Ouachita Correctional Center just south of the Monroe airport. The fourth victim has not been identified.

The plane was owned by Central Flying Service, Inc. based out of Little Rock. It was flying from Beaumont, Texas, to Monroe when it went down on its final approach.

Federal Aviation Administration officials are investigating what caused the crash.
